About me
Dr. Robert Mayben is the Alabama Technology in Motion Specialist for The UA-UWA Inservice Center. He received his PhD in Educational Leadership with an emphasis in Instructional Technology from The University of Alabama. His dissertation focused on the impact of Instructional Geocaching and GPS activities on student achievement. Robert has been an ATiM specialist since 2004, and he was an ELA, journalism, and computer applications teacher at Etowah High School before joining ATiM. His edtech interests include drones in education, learning with LEGOs, artificial intelligence, digital literacy, computer science education, robotics, instructional Geocaching, innovative teaching strategies, and game-based learning.
