About me
I am passionate about mathematics education – especially at the elementary and middle school level. As a previous awardee of the Presidential Award for Excellence in Science and Mathematics Teaching, Georgia Roundtable Award for Excellence in Math Teaching, as well as the Award for Excellence in Teaching Elementary Mathematics, I now specialize in developing teachers’ content knowledge and instructional strategies. I am a former elementary classroom teacher, elementary math intervention teacher, math academic coach, and math endorsement instructor. With 4+ decades in the educational field, I now work with both teachers and students to build foundational math understanding as an educational specialist for hand2mind.
