I am finishing up my third year of teaching mathematics and am passionate about creating engaging, student-centered learning experiences. I earned my Bachelor of Science in Math Education and my Master of Education in Learning Design and Technology from the University of West Alabama.
Before transitioning into education, I began my professional career in student affairs at The University of Alabama in Huntsville. After marrying my husband, Jay, four years ago, we felt called to South Alabama, where I continued pursuing my passion for education and student growth.
In addition to my classroom experience, I has completed several professional development certifications, including becoming math certified through the National Institute for STEM Education and earning recognition as a certified Wayground Game Changer.
Outside the classroom, Jay and I, enjoy saltwater fishing and traveling together. In the four years we have been married, we have traveled to 11 states and 2 countries, always looking forward to our next adventure.
