About me
I am new to Baldwin County School District as I just moved from South Carolina in December 2023. This is my seventh year teaching English. I have taught 8th, 9th, 10th, 11th grades. Before teaching, I was a newspaper journalist for five years in Beaufort County, South Carolina and Rockdale and Cherokee counties in Georgia. When I first decided to transition into the education field, I thought special education was where I wanted to start; however, South Carolina's Program of Alternative Certification for Educators was the route I took. I recently fell in love with co-teaching after pairing up with an special education teacher. I am here to talk about my own personal experience with co-teaching and how to create an environment where not only both teachers thrive, but also each student.
