This one-day session focuses on developing area models from upper elementary through middle school grades. Participants will experience the foundation of area models and how they can be extended through middle school math concepts. Participants will practice using area models with hands-on manipulatives and materials through applications of multiplication, division, fractions, geometry, percents, and probability.
